Tom Miller, a graduate of Yale University, Stanford Law School and Columbia University’s Parker School of Foreign & Comparative Law, founded the firm. Tom has led his associates to engage in general civil litigation, personal injury law, business law, international law, immigration law, non-profit and family law, as well as other areas.
Social Impact.
Our firm is dedicated to helping those in need of legal representation and counsel, but face linguistic, cultural or economic barriers. Our attorneys have provided significant pro bono services and most cases are accepted on a contingency basis.
Consumer Goods.
Miller & Washington launched several IPOs and established limited partnerships in areas such as food products, micro-brewing, manufacturing, book investments and computer software. The firm also engaged in book and software packaging and licensing with major publishers and computer hardware manufacturers such as Bantam, Microsoft, Dow Jones, Epson and Kyocera, and provided legal and management assistance to Masayoshi Son’s newly formed SoftBank when he was a graduate student at UC Berkeley.
International Work.
Miller & Washington has established a link between Asia, the United States, and the world. Among other international projects, our firm opened the first U.S. law office in Vietnam after the war and established the Vietnam Green Building Council. Our firm has partnered on various projects in China and Southeast Asia with IPO Pang, headed by Fortune 500 attorney, Peter Pang. We also specialize in business and travel to Cuba and work with a network of attorneys who are specialists in other areas.
